As a therapist having worked with a vast range of concerns over the years, I have noticed an increase in stress and anxiety, whether it be outward or underlying. Stress and anxiety (also performance anxiety) can have a deep impact on sexual functioning and in being able to enjoy a healthy sex life.
Varying levels of stress and anxiety can affect people in ‘performing or doing sex’ rather than being present and enjoying the moment and being immersed in the experience. Individuals can find it difficult to gain and maintain an erection, get to orgasm or ejaculate, feeling self conscious, feeling like they are in the spotlight and having to perform, worry about satisfying their partner and the list goes on.
Being able to relax is key and you will be given exercises to do away from sessions to complement our work that will assist in the therapeutic process to help you to achieve positive results sooner.
We are able to work with stress and anxiety with talk therapy as part of the process and hypnotherapy / nlp is optional (if you're interested). If you would like any further information – please visit my practice website: lucidmind.com.au or please contact me directly.
